New labor rights for domestic and home help workers

On September 11, Royal Decree 893/2024, September 10, was published in the Official State Gazette, which establishes and regulates the right to health and safety of domestic and home help workers.

The work of domestic workers has historically been the subject of little regulatory development. This Royal Decree recognizes a series of rights, such as health surveillance, safety measures in the workplace and free training, which until now had not been recognized for this group of workers.
